This what I was getting up to at the weekend 🙂
Fosseway Writers had a very successful couple of days at Newark Book Festival (14-15 July 2018) where we basked in sunshine and literature. To be honest, it was a little bit too hot – temperatures hit 30 degrees (the mid 80s in Fahrenheit) and we were grateful for the shade of the market stall.
We were selling our new anthology “Gobstoppers, Shrimps and Sour Monkeys” and encouraging would-be writers to come along to our meetings, both of which went rather splendidly. We sold 25 copies of the book and have several names and emails of local writers (and writers-to-be) who we hope to see over the next weeks and months. Who knows, perhaps next year we’ll have a new anthology for sale with content from new members.
We also handed out basic tips to potential writers as well as our competition entry sheets, one specifically for the Festival…
